The Holidays are here and the Phoenix weather has cooled off. It’s the perfect season to start family portraits!

Chris and Nicole have been friends of my husband and me for several years now. Chris graduated from KU, as did my husband, and Chris helped recruit my hubby out to Phoenix to work with him and Nicole. As soon as we moved here, we learned that Chris and Nicole had started dated and you can tell from the beginning how perfect they were for each other. Fast forward to now, and they have the cutest little boy who turns one in December!

I had the honor to document this sweet family this month and help them update their Christmas cards with adorable portraits!

Kozuh Family

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to donate a portrait session to help raise money for Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCA). My husband is on the Board of Directors for this amazing organization and he gets to help the organization grow in support. This Spring, CSCA hosted a fundraiser called a Porch Party which provided BBQ, music, casino games, photo-booth, and a silent auction to name a few. It was thanks to this silent auction that I got to photograph Barb and her beautiful daughter!

Barb won my certificate as well as a nice custom dinner for her and her friends. I’m so thrilled she decided to use the certificate to document the sweet relationship she has with her daughter. During the session, she was telling me that she hasn’t had an updated portrait of her an her daughter in YEARS! Thank you for letting me be the one to change that. Barb, I hope you like your images below. Let me know which one you want to fulfill your certificate and if you want others to give as gifts or updated Christmas cards, let me know this as well!!!

Wallace Family

It makes the heart happy to see multiple generations in one family portrait session. The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is invaluable so to be able to document more than half a century of family is such an honor. The Wallace family has become dear friends over the past years and I’ve been blessed to celebrate with them as they’ve continued to add new grand-babies into the family. It may even be time to get them all together again as there are a couple new members missing!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Edward!

When I was back in Denver photographing Edward’s family portraits, it also happened to be this little man’s 2nd birthday! What a weekend full of adventure as we spent it Bergen hunting! For those with toddlers in your life, you may be familiar with the movie Trolls. My husband and I do not have toddlers in our life, but thanks to Edward, we got schooled on Troll life and the hunt for Bergens (Go, Queen Poppy!) . This handsome little dude has so much personality and even though he’s now in Denver, I look forward to documenting him at least once a year – as a birthday Bergen hunt is now tradition!

Family Portraits – Elliott Family of 3…

For those who know Bekah and Robert, you know they just welcomed into the world a little girl, Evelyn. Though I may not get the privilege to photograph this newest addition, I did get the honor to fly out to Denver, Co to document their family of three one last time. Bekah, Robert, and little Edward are dear clients and friends and I’m so honored that I’ve been able to document many milestones for them. Denver sure has some beautiful backdrops and I hope to return in the future as little Evy grows!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
