He’s a special little guy as he is their rainbow baby. He’s perfect in every way and is so loved! My husband, daughter, and I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Truman. He was born on April 6th, right in the middle of this crazy pandemic. We are so grateful for a smooth delivery and a healthy little boy. Just like with our daughter, you’ll get to see lots of photos of him as he grows. However, I’m starting to realize photographing your own children is so much harder than photographing someone else’s!!
I’m grateful I get to practice some new lighting and newborn settings during all this home time. This way, when Kansas opens back up to businesses on May 18th, I’ll be ready to photograph your little one.
Though we may be officially into winter (as the snow is melting outside my office window), it’s never too late to enjoy some beautiful fall colors. The Elliott family are dear to me and my husband and I’ve been photographing them since Bekah was pregnant with her first child. Though they live out of Kansas, it was a thrill to see them over the holidays and to photograph their family again.
Bekah and family did a great job of choosing clothing options. You can never go wrong with solids in warm fall tones. Jewel tones were very popular this past season, so these warm purples and maroons are perfect. But even when it’s not Fall, it’s important to try to follow the Elliott’s direction: solid colors, same color family, but each person in their own style!
It may be chilly (okay, cold!) outside now, but that doesn’t have to stop you from having beautiful family portraits. Fall is one of my favorite times of year to photograph family. The colors change, the weather cools off, and family seems to gather closer. The Sanchez family is no exception when it comes to family togetherness; just look at the smiles on the kiddos and the love they all have for each other! I will admit, those smiles were thanks to the help of a wonderful grandma who stood behind me and was willing to act goofy with a few sticks and a tree branch. The things we do for our loved ones! Look at the curls on this cutie! In addition to being so darn cute, this babe is so independent and strong – just like her Mom! First birthdays are an amazing milestone for the babe and for the parents. Being able to document all the growth and change this little one went through in her short first year is such an honor. Love this little girl!
